No. 02 / 03GovLensgovlens.euLive · launched 2026

Parliamentary transparency for European democracy.

Live — legislation · votes · lobbying · transposition

GovLens is a live platform that tracks EU legislation, how MEPs vote, lobbying, and how EU law turns into national law. European parliamentary data is public — GovLens makes it usable.

§ 01 — The problem

Public data, private complexity.

Votes are buried in PDFs. Committee amendments are scattered. Lobbying data sits in a separate register. The European Parliament publishes everything — in formats that resist analysis.

A journalist tracking how a specific MEP voted on AI regulation shouldn't need to scrape three websites and manually cross-reference committee records.

§ 02 — Capabilities

06

Transposition tracking

Follow how EU law turns into national law, member state by member state.

§ 03 — How it works

From scattered records to one structure.

GovLens collects what the European Parliament already publishes, turns it into linked records, and makes it queryable.

Step 01

Collect

Plenary votes, committee documents, amendments, and Transparency Register entries are gathered from official public sources.

PDF · XML · HTML → raw records

Step 02

Structure

Documents are parsed into consistent entities: MEPs, groups, committees, procedures, votes, and amendments.

raw records → typed entities

Step 03

Link

Entities are cross-referenced: who voted how, who tabled what, and which lobbyists met which MEPs on which files.

entities → connected graph

Step 04

Deliver

Search it, query it through the API, subscribe to legislative events by webhook, or export it as JSON and CSV.
